Trustee Chris Peterson Accepts Plaque Thanking DPCF for Support

DPCF-chrisOn one of his regular Tuesday stops at the Self Help Closet and Pantry, Chris Peterson, owner of Corporate Coach, accepted a plaque of gratitude on behalf of the Des Plaines Community Foundation.

Chris Peterson serves as a Trustee on the Board of the Des Plaines Community Foundation. He also is in charge of the Foundation’s volunteers who drive the elderly and disabled who call the Foundation’s hotline for help.

Chris, himself, has spent hundreds of hours driving Des Plaines residents to medical appointments — on the day of the award, he was picking up groceries and supplies for home bound individuals.

The Des Plaines Community Foundation recognizes the Self Help Closet and Pantry of Des Plaines as a great asset for Des Plaines residents; every year the Foundation makes a large contribution to the Pantry.

“Earlier this year, the Des Plaines Community Foundation presented the Self Help Closet and Food Pantry with a$5,000 donation,” said Executive Director Rosemary Argus.“Over the years, we have donated more than $25,000 to the Self Help Closet and Pantry.”
